Gareth H
Gareth Hewlett founded Flying River Labs to pursue his interests in helping others create successful products and services through the lens of individuals and communities.
He has been doing this through his R&D, product development, consulting and mentoring since 2022. Prior to that, Gareth had senior roles working with products, services and technology, responsible for defining and building products and services impacting millions of people and partnering with some of the most successful companies in the world on the biggest challenges.
As a lifelong learner Gareth has studied a range of short courses from IDEO, strategyzer, Harvard and MIT, as well as having studied Financial Strategy at Oxford Business School and Engineering at Hertfordshire.
Simon W
Innovation and venture creation have remained a central theme in a technology career that started over 20 years ago when he swapped life in the City for the telecoms start up, Three.
But it was whilst building and leading BT’s Venture Strategy and Business Incubation functions that Simon began to fully appreciate the potential to drive positive change through the harnessing of progressive technologies, resulting in successful new ventures in the fields of drones, healthcare, big data, media and m-commerce.
Throughout his career Simon has demonstrated that positive societal and environmental impact can be achieved in tandem with material commercial success. His intellectual curiosity and passion for sustainably tackling today’s challenges through innovation remains as strong as ever and Flying River Labs provides the perfect platform from which to support businesses with a similar ethos.
